Good Food Project Volunteering – Everdale/The SEED

In partnership with The SEED in Guelph, Everdale will be offering a weekly volunteer shift every Wednesday morning. Volunteers will work in Everdale’s fields to grow food that will go directly into The SEED’s food security programs. Volunteers will have the option of getting to the farm themselves, or catching a ride with other volunteers from the Guelph Community Health Centre.

CarrotFest Volunteer

Everdale hosts an annual open house every season that can see up to 1000 visitors come to the farm.  We rely on volunteers to help run the event.  There is a wide range of tasks that volunteers may be asked to perform, from running kids activities, helping with u-pick carrots, directing traffic, site setup and cleanup, and many more.

Week Long Volunteering

For people who can’t commit to regular weekly shifts, but can commit to spending a full week on the farm.  Everdale highly encourages potential Sustainable Farming Certificate students to participate in this option in the season prior to applying if possible.
