Carrot Fest

Come lend a hand at our fun, family friendly autumn harvest festival, Carrot Fest! With hundreds of guests, tonnes of fun activities, live music, great food, and a giant carrot cake (!), volunteering at Carrot Fest is a great way to support your favourite farm. You can find more info on the event here, and if you’re interested in volunteering, get in touch!

Other Opportunities

Year-round, we have opportunities to volunteer with the educational programs and with our open house events. Please email us if interested.

Most of our volunteer opportunities occur between 8 am and 5 pm on weekdays, however we have a few opportunities to become involved on weekday evenings and on Saturdays. Please contact the volunteer coordinator for more information. ***Please note: Regular volunteer opportunities will pause over the winter and will resume in the spring. We’ll be making changes to the volunteer schedule for 2016 and adding new opportunities in the New Year.

There are two ways to volunteer at BCCF:

1. Become a regular volunteer

Join a volunteer team and make a commitment to a consistent volunteer shift.

Regular volunteers are asked to make a commitment of at least 3-4 hours per week for a minimum of 1 month. As a regular volunteer you are expected to attend an orientation session and will be placed according to your interest and program capacity.

Current opportunities:

2. Become an occasional volunteer
