Volunteering at Everdale

Thank you for considering Everdale as a place to volunteer. There are various capacities in which you can do so:

  • Farm Volunteers
Farm volunteers work alongside the Future Farmers interns. They spend the bulk of their time out in the fields, planting, weeding and harvesting. Be prepared for long days and lots of repetitive garden tasks. Lots of opportunity to ask questions and experience the reality of farming!
  • Learning Centre Volunteers
Learning Centre volunteers do a lot of grunt work, but it’s fun and rewarding grunt work. They help with the day-to-day chores of running a learning centre. You may be mowing lawns, weeding ornamental gardens or could assist in a workshop.
  • Special Project Volunteers
From time to time we require volunteer help specific to a project at Everdale, such as the Home Alive!TM permaculture gardens, the medicinal herb garden, coordination of our many festivals and events, and so on. If there is something in particular here that interests you, it is best to ask and see how we can accommodate your interests and skills.
